What does Adaptive AI do in College Football 25?

Players are already loving College Football 25, with lots of new features and improvements to get stuck into. Adaptive AI is one of the new things that EA have added to College Football 25 since the last iteration over 10 years ago.

Adaptive AI is causing a little bit of confusion, with players wondering exactly what it is and what option they should pick when creating a coach in the Dynasty mode. We've got you covered with everything you need to know about this new feature.

What does Adaptive AI do in College Football 25?

Put simply, Adaptive AI in College Football 25 controls how CPU coaches will behave in real-time during matches. This impacts how your CPU opponents will change tactics, switch plays and make adjustments. They will do this based on how you are playing, and how the game is going.

There are three Adaptive AI settings in College Football 25. They are as follows:

  • Balanced
  • Aggressive
  • Conservative

The best part about Adaptive AI is it makes facing a CPU player a lot more like facing a human. Other settings in sports games tend to just give the CPU an advantage, like faster players, more accurate passing etc. However, Adaptive AI will make the CPU behave differently every game, trying to outwit you and counter your strategies and plays.

This makes for a challenging and intense gameplay experience. You'll have to be on your toes during each and every match, reacting to your opponent just as quickly as they react to you.

Which Adaptive AI setting should I pick?

For the most challenging experience, we suggest you pick the Aggressive Adaptive AI setting in College Football 25. This will result in a bold and adventurous opponent that will try its best to outwit you. If you find that too much of a challenge, turning it down to either Balanced or Conservative will still result in a good gameplay experience.

Overall, Adaptive AI is a great addition to College Football. Good luck building a Dynasty, coach.
