Season 5 release date in Black Ops 6 and Warzone
Season 5 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone, which is titled "The Reckoning," will officially begin on Aug. 7, 2025. This was announced on July 28 via the Treyarch and Call of Duty social media channels.

The August 7 release date for Season 5 is a week later than we originally thought, but that's not cause for any alarm. We don't have a roadmap of the Season 5 content, however, so it's unknown if this week delay means we're seeing any more or less content than we would have if the season had been released in July like it was initially supposed to.
At this point in time, we're not sure if Season 5 will be the last for Black Ops 6 or not. The official Black Ops 7 reveal is set for mid-August, with COD Next and the multiplayer beta slated to take place in late September. We also received a leak that stated Black Ops 7 will be releasing on Nov. 14, which would put it over three months from the Season 5 release date in BO6. That's a long time without a new season, but BO6 could simply be out of content, so there very well could be no Season 6 update.
We'll have to see if a new season is released after Season 5 as time goes on. For now, you can hop into Season 5 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone on Aug. 7.
