How to unlock the Lachmann-556 in MW2?
The Lachmann-556 is fairly easy to unlock in Modern Warfare 2. Due to the new weapon progression system put in by Infinity Ward, the AR falls under the Lachmann & Meer weapon platform. Which means there are a couple of things you will need to do before you can get your hands on the Lachmann-556.
First of all, you will need to unlock the Lachmann-762 Battle Rifle. To do so, you need to reach Level 16 in-game. From there you will need to raise the gun to Level 13. This is when you will gain access to the Lachmann-556 weapon receiver. By unlocking this particular weapon, you will also be able to work towards unlocking the Rapp H LMG and the Lachmann Sub.

As with most of the assault rifles in MW2, the iron sights for the Lachmann-556 are pretty good on their own. This means you don't have to bother putting on a reflex sight if you don't want to use one. While it is already pretty accurate in medium to long range fights, these attachments will allow it to be even better.
The Lachmann Nova Barrel paired with the Operator Foregrip will increase the rifle's effectiveness at range whilst greatly reducing the recoil. And the rest of the attachments will make it so you stand a better chance in close range fights against an SMG, with the heightened ADS and Sprint-to-Fire speeds.
