The Ballistic Knife is back, and here’s how you can unlock the melee weapon.
The Season 1 update in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone delivered two new weapons right off the bat: the Maddox RFB and the Kogot-7. However, there's also a third weapon hidden in the update: the Ballistic Knife. This classic melee weapon can be earned just as easily as the two primary guns, but not in the same way.
Below, you can see all of the different methods to unlock the Ballistic Knife in Black Ops 7 and how to equip it on your loadout.
How to unlock the Ballistic Knife in Black Ops 7 Season 1
The Ballistic Knife can be unlocked in one of two ways in Season 1:
- By completing the Week 1 Weekly Challenges
- By purchasing the "Tracer Pack: Catatonia" bundle in the Store
Naturally, the Weekly Challenges is the easiest way to unlock the Ballistic Knife, as it's free and doesn't take too long.
The Ballistic Knife is the Week 1 reward in the Weekly Challenges system. This requires you to complete six total challenges in Week 1, which can be done across multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. You can complete the six total challenges any way you see fit; if you complete four in multiplayer, two in Zombies, and one in Warzone, that still counts for the reward. Of course, you can also choose to do all six challenges in one game mode if you wish.
You can view the Weekly Challenges by clicking on them in the top-left corner of the main lobby screen in Black Ops 7 or Warzone. There, you'll see all the challenges for each game mode as well as a tracker for how many challenges you've already completed. Once you complete six total, the Ballistic Knife is yours.
Equipping the Ballistic Knife in Black Ops 7
Once you've unlocked the Ballistic Knife, you can equip it through the dedicated Melee slot in any of your loadouts. This replaces your Knife or Flatline MK.II, though, so you'll want to decide if the Ballistic Knife is worth it or not.
If you decide to equip it, you can bring it out in a match by holding your melee button on controller or keyboard/mouse. Then, press the swap weapon button to re-equip your last used weapon.
