A new sniper is coming to Black Ops 6, but you’ll have to be patient for it.
Season 1 Reloaded in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is arriving on Dec. 5, and many players are anxiously awaiting more content for multiplayer and Zombies. The update is slated to introduce more Zombies content this time around, but that doesn't mean multiplayer is getting left out to dry. One of the highlights of the update for multiplayer fans is the AMR Mod 4, a new sniper rifle that has a peculiar unlock method.
The AMR Mod 4 is a semi-automatic sniper that can still one-shot kill enemies with a well-placed upper body shot. In exchange for higher damage, the sniper possesses slower mobility and higher recoil. All in all, it sounds like the classic semi-auto snipers from the glory days of Call of Duty. In the guide below, you can see exactly how to unlock it.

Unlike some of the other post-launch weapons in Black Ops 6, the AMR Mod 4 isn't unlocked through the Battle Pass in Season 1. In fact, the sniper won't be available at the start of Season 1 Reloaded. Instead, players have to wait until Dec. 19 to get their hands on the AMR Mod 4.
The new sniper is included in the upcoming Archie's Festival Frenzy event, which begins on Dec. 19. This holiday-themed event features a plethora of exclusive rewards, but the main prize is the AMR Mod 4. In order to unlock the AMR Mod 4 in Black Ops 6, players need to complete the entirety of the event, which ends on Jan. 3.
The Archie's Festival Frenzy event will feature a new item called "Jolly Archies," which you need to collect in order to unlock rewards in the event. Jolly Archies can be collected by simply getting kills in any mode in multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone. You have to use Jolly Archies by exchanging them to unlock 12 total rewards. Once you have all 12 rewards, the AMR Mod 4 becomes yours.
There will also likely be a store bundle containing a blueprint for the AMR Mod 4 in Black Ops 6. However, that bundle presumably won't hit the store until after the Archie's Festival Frenzy event has concluded on Jan. 3. Season 1 Reloaded will also introduce the Maelstrom shotgun and the Cleaver melee weapon, so there's plenty of additional content to keep you busy until the event begins on Dec. 19.
