Objective kills are a roadblock to unlocking camos in Black Ops 7.

Weapon camo challenges in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 can either be simple or they can be difficult; there's truly no in between. One of the more difficult camo challenges in Black Ops 7 is getting objective kills with a weapon, which sounds easy enough but is actually quite frustrating in practice.

If you've been struggling to earn objective kills for one of your weapon camos in Black Ops 7, don't fret, as we have all the answers you need down below.

Getting objective kills for weapon camos in Black Ops 7

Let's get the basics out of the way. An objective kill in Black Ops 7 is when you kill an enemy that's currently contesting or holding an objective on the map. Objective kills do not count if you're sitting on a flag in Domination or a zone in Hardpoint and kill an enemy that's outside of the flag or zone.

The main way you can track whether a kill is an objective kill or not is if you see the "Assault" Medal pop up on your HUD after killing an enemy. The Assault Medal means you've killed an enemy on an objective. So if you want to rack up Assault Medals and objective kills, then you need to only target objectives when there are enemies currently guarding them.

With those disclaimers out of the way, how should you go about earning objective kills for your weapon camo challenges in Black Ops 7? As we briefly mentioned, you want to solely play two game modes: Domination and Hardpoint. No other mode will allow you to earn objective kills aside from Search and Destroy, but even then, it's very rare.

In Domination and Hardpoint, you want to try your best to stay off objectives, let enemies capture them, and then kill enemies once they have claimed an objective. For example, when you hear an enemy is capturing a flag in Domination, run over to that flag and kill the enemy on the flag. In Hardpoint, you want to wait until the enemy has captured the zone, then run near or into the zone to kill the enemies holding it.

Hardpoint is the easier game mode to play for this challenge, as there's always an objective that the enemy can take. However, Domination can work as well, assuming you have teammates who don't go for the objective at all.

Aside from playing Hardpoint or Domination, getting objective kills relies solely on you. You'll have to use the best attachments for your weapons, as well as an ideal class, to ensure you have the strongest chance to kill enemies on objectives in Black Ops 7.
