Split screen is available for console players in Black Ops 6, but there are some rules that make it a less-enjoyable experience.
There's nothing better than a new game dropping on your favorite console, and you playing it from the comfort of your own living room. And it is made even better when playing with a friend or family member. While the days of split screen being the main multiplayer method are long gone, you can still do it in Black Ops 6.
Unfortunately, you can't play the Black Ops 6 campaign in split screen mode, as there is no co-op. Split screen only works if you jump into multiplayer. That means, you'll need to have an internet connection available to make it happen.

How to set up split screen play in Black Ops 6
You are able to play Black Ops 6's multiplayer and Zombies modes in split screen. It isn't an option to just select, however. You and your friend need to set it up. We've got those steps for you:
- Load up Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S console
- There is no split screen availability on PC, PS4, or Xbox One
- Enter either Multiplayer or Zombies
- Plug in the second controller for your split screen duo
- Press the X or A button depending on the controller/console
- Login with a different user profile connected to an Activision account
- Sign up for an Activision account with the profile chosen if it doesn't have one
- Confirm the mode you'd like to play and connect to a match
Now that you've figured out how to get split screen to work in Black Ops 6, here comes the catch. It is very limited. You can only play Zombies together, not with another party. And the same goes for Multiplayer.
All of the modes, leveling capabilities, and everything else is there for Multiplayer. You just get matched up with bot opponents instead of actual players. It isn't the best way to play, but at least you get to enjoy it with a family member or friend in the same room.
