What is third person in Call of Duty?
First person is the usual go-to for shooters, allowing players to see the action from the playable character's POV. Third person puts the character completely into view, making the gamer more of a spectator than the character themselves. In third person, you often see your playable character from behind or even over the shoulder.
Call of Duty players wanted the option to change to third-person in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign, prompting Infinity Ward to make some updates.
Does the MW2 campaign have third person mode?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was given third person mid-October after developers received feedback from players.
In an official Instagram post, Call of Duty revealed that third-person was coming to the game. Third person is a traditional and familiar aim style, which is why players were hoping it would become an option. First-person would only be active when players were aiming with a scope magnification of 4x or more.
