You only get 10 Prestige Tokens in Black Ops 6, so what should you spend them on?
Classic Prestige has returned in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and it's bringing a number of features with it. One of the more exciting features is the return of Prestige Tokens, which allow you to permanently unlock any class item in Black Ops 6 after you prestige.
When you enter any prestige, your level is reset to one and you have to unlock all of your class items again as you progress through the 55 ranks in Black Ops 6. However, every time you prestige, you earn a single Prestige Token that can be used on any item, allowing you to keep it unlocked no matter how many times you prestige.
Choosing what to use your Prestige Tokens on is a big decision, as the choice can drastically affect your gameplay from prestige to prestige. Fortunately, we have laid out some of the best items to use Prestige Tokens on in Black Ops 6 below. The items aren't in any particular order.
1. AS VAL (unlocked at level 55)
Naturally, the AS VAL is one of the best choices to use a Prestige Token on, as it unlocks at the max level of 55 in Black Ops 6. This means if you don't use a Prestige Token on the AS VAL, you won't get to use it very much if you prestige every time you're able to.
You could choose to buy a store bundle containing the AS VAL to bypass the prestige system, but that costs money. Instead, it's better simply to spend one of your early Prestige Tokens on the assault rifle so you never have to wait until level 55 again.
2. Perk Greed (unlocked at level 54)
Perk Greed is a highly underrated class item in Black Ops 6 and it might be worth your very first Prestige Token. Unlocked at level 54, Prestige Greed isn't something you immediately think about when it comes to permanently unlocking an item.
The ability to use an extra perk on any loadout is extremely valuable, especially with how many strong perks there are in Black Ops 6.
There are also Combat Specialties to think about; if you can run an extra perk, you have an easier time activating one of the Combat Specialties, offering extra benefits in multiplayer. While you might want to unlock a weapon or perk initially, Perk Greed is worth your first Prestige Token.

3. Jackal PDW (unlocked at level 43)
We come right back to another weapon and this time it's the beta killer: the Jackal PDW. The Jackal PDW is one of the stronger weapons in Black Ops 6 and it's not unlocked super early, coming in at level 43. As such, using one of your Prestige Tokens on it is a wise decision, especially if you're a fan of submachine guns.
However, one of the drawbacks to permanently unlocking the Jackal PDW, or any weapon, is that Treyarch could hit the gun with a nerf and make it much worse. This would severely devalue the Prestige Token you spent on the Jackal or any other weapon.
The best way to go about spending Prestige Tokens on weapons in Black Ops 6 is to wait for Treyarch to release the first round of weapon balancing. After that, if the Jackal PDW or even the AS VAL isn't nerfed, they're likely safe to permanently unlock.
4. Ninja/Tac Mask (unlocked at levels 35, 44)
Next up, we have two perks: Ninja and Tac Mask. We've put two perks on the list since Ninja, arguably the best perk in Black Ops 6, isn't unlocked at a super high level (35). However, given how strong it is, using a Prestige Token on it is still a wise choice. Ninja makes your footsteps mostly silent, giving you a huge advantage against enemies on the map.
If you want to spend your Prestige Token on a higher unlock, though, we also recommend using one on Tac Mask. Tac Mask isn't unlocked until level 44 and should be a solid perk since Black Ops 6 features strong tactical equipment, which the perk mitigates. Eventually, as you approach Prestige 10, both of these perks are worth a Prestige Token.
5. HARP/Chopper Gunner (unlocked at levels 42, 45)
We're finishing the list with two more entries in the scorestreaks division. First up is the HARP, which is like the Blackbird from the original Black Ops. When called in, the HARP gives you and your team a permanent UAV with directional arrows that show enemy locations. It's highly powerful and tips the scales massively in your team's favor.
On the other hand, if you want something a little more lethal, go with the Chopper Gunner. The Chopper Gunner can obliterate enemy teams from the sky, raining down fire from above for quite a while if no one shoots you down. Both scorestreaks are unlocked at around the same level, so both are worthy of a Prestige Token.
And that wraps up our list of the best unlocks to use Prestige Tokens on in Black Ops 6. Of course, if you find an item you absolutely can't live without, then spend your token on that. You earned the tokens, after all. When you're done using the Prestige Tokens, you can move on to the camo grind in Black Ops 6, which is especially rewarding.
