The Saug can be a great secondary option in Warzone with the right loadout.
The Saug submachine gun arrived in Call of Duty: Warzone with the Season 1 update. It can be unlocked via the Battle Pass or a store bundle and joins the lineup of Black Ops 6 weapons once this happens.
Like all other weapons that players use in Warzone, the Saug requires a strong loadout to compete in any battle royale mode. While the Saug isn't considered to be a firm part of the meta yet, all seasonal weapons should be tried out at one point or another. Whenever you decide to use the Saug in Warzone, make sure you utilize its strongest set of attachments.
How to unlock the Saug in Warzone
As previously mentioned, the Saug is unlocked through one of two methods. The first method is to go through the Season 1 Battle Pass and unlock it by completing tiers. The Saug is on page three of the Battle Pass, meaning you have to progress through 21 tiers to unlock it.
However, if you have the BlackCell version of the Battle Pass, you earn 20 free tier skips right away and the ability to unlock any page immediately. This means BlackCell owners can unlock the Saug as soon as they want. Other players have to unlock it by earning Battle Pass Tokens through playtime.
The other method of unlocking the Saug is by purchasing a store bundle with a blueprint of the SMG. The Ultra Skin: Parasite Warrior features a Saug blueprint and costs 2,400 COD Points in the store. Purchasing this blueprint permanently unlocks the Saug for you even after you prestige in Warzone.

Attachments for the best Saug loadout in Warzone
After you unlock the Saug, you need to level it up so you can equip the best overall attachments for its loadout. These attachments are viewable below:
- Muzzle: Compensator
- Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
- Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
- Magazine: Extended Mag II
- Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
If you opt for the Gunfighter wildcard, you can equip some extra attachments on the Saug. Our recommendations for those extra attachment slots are:
- Stock: Balanced Stock
- Fire Mods: Recoil Springs
This loadout turns the Saug into a menace at close range. While its mid-range lethality will depend on your accuracy, the Saug can still beam enemies if you can keep it under control. Even with all of the accuracy attachments we've equipped on the loadout, you'll notice the Saug tends to bounce around when firing.
For close range gunfights, you'll have no issues dismembering enemies. You can also rely on the Saug's strong mobility to out-manuever enemies that are using another SMG, such as the Jackal PDW. For the Saug specifically, you'll want to watch your bullet count in every magazine, as the weapon tends to burn through ammo even with the Extended Mag II equipped.
That does it for our best Saug loadout in Warzone. If you want to swap over to Black Ops 6 multiplayer, we also have a guide on the best loadout for that mode as well.
