The MK.78 is one of the best overall guns in Warzone, so make sure you’re using the right attachments.
The MK.78 is easily the best light machine gun that you can use in Call of Duty: Warzone after the Season 1 update. While there's only one other LMG from Black Ops 7, the MK.78 is still a top long-range option amongst all guns, including other assault rifles like the MXR-17 and DS20 Mirage. However, to keep the MK.78 competitive with those guns in Warzone, you'll need its best overall loadout.
Below, you can see the strongest loadout of attachments for the MK.78 in Warzone.
Best loadout for the MK.78 in Warzone
With the MK.78 being an LMG, it already has a great magazine size, but that comes with low mobility. If you're planning on using the gun at long range, though, that slowness doesn't really present a problem. So, you can focus your loadout on recoil control, damage range, and bullet velocity, stats that make the MK.78 lethal at 20 meters and beyond.
Here's our recommended loadout for the MK.78:
- Optic: Greaves Accuspot 3x
- Muzzle: RL-7.62 Compensator
- Barrel: 18.5" Titan Hybrid Barrel
- Magazine: MFS Heatshield Belt Fed (Prestige Attachment)
- Fire Mods: Accelerated Recoil System
Loadout Build Code: L01-T43XA-6CRB5-1

The main element of this MK.78 loadout is the MFS Heatshield Belt Fed magazine attachment, which is only unlocked after you Prestige the LMG for the first time. This makes it so you have basically unlimited ammo, but there's now a meter that stops you from firing for too long. Aside from that attachment, the rest of the loadout focuses on recoil control, damage range, and bullet velocity. We've also added the Greaves Accuspot 3x optic for the best mid-range zoom.
