Dominate competitive play with the right loadout in Black Ops 7.

There are three competitive game modes in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7: Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, and Overload. When it comes to popularity amongst the competitive community, Hardpoint is easily the favorite amongst fans, as it provides the most action during an entire match. If you've decided to try out some competitive play in Black Ops 7, you'll need the perfect loadout tailored to Hardpoint in order to compete with other players.

Below, you can see the best weapons, equipment, Field Upgrade, and other class items for Hardpoint in Black Ops 7.

Best competitive Hardpoint loadout in Black Ops 7

A loadout in Black Ops 7 consists of a weapon, secondary weapon, lethal and tactical equipment, Field Upgrade, perks, and a Wildcard. You can also equip scorestreaks, but so far, those have been banned in competitive play early on in the life cycle of the circuit. Once professional players start actually scrimmaging, though, that rule might change.

For now, we'll go over every aspect of your loadout for Hardpoint and which options you should pick for every slot:

Best Hardpoint weapons

First up, we have the weapons for Hardpoint. Right now, two guns are dominating the meta in competitive play, and they are the M15 Mod 0 and the Dravec 45. The M15 Mod 0 is by far the more popular and used gun, though, as it can essentially do anything the Dravec 45 can do. Most players, including us, are expecting a significant nerf to the M15 Mod 0 or a decent buff to other weapons in Black Ops 7 in the coming days, so the meta could shift depending on what's changed.

At the moment, however, it's the M15 Mod 0 and the Dravec 45 as the two weapons of choice for Hardpoint and competitive play overall. Naturally, if you want to play at longer ranges, use the M15 Mod 0, while aggressive players should usually opt for the Dravec 45. If you're curious about what attachments to use on either weapon, we have a dedicated loadout guide for both the M15 Mod 0 and the Dravec 45 in Black Ops 7, so check those out to complete your primary weapon slot.

Moving on to the secondary weapon, the only current option allowed in competitive play is the Jager 45. The Velox 5.7 and the Coda 9 are both banned at the moment, so equip the Jager 45 in the secondary slot and forget about it until we potentially get a rule change.

Best Hardpoint perks and Wildcard

Next, let's talk about your perks and Wildcard. There's a solid set of three perks you should be using in Hardpoint, but what about your Wildcard? You can always go with the Perk Greed Wildcard to give yourself an extra perk, and that's what you'll see most professional players do with their loadouts. However, you could also opt for the Gunfighter Wildcard, allowing you to equip three extra attachments on your primary weapon's loadout.

For our purposes here, we recommend equipping Perk Greed and using these four perks on your Hardpoint loadout:

  • Perk 1: Ninja
  • Perk 2: Fast Hands
  • Perk 3: Dexterity
  • Perk Greed: Flak Jacket

If you're playing in regular Black Ops 7 multiplayer, then you'll have most of these perks unlocked early. However, you might have to use a Permanent Unlock Token to access Ninja.

Best Hardpoint equipment and Field Upgrade

Finally, what are the best pieces of lethal and tactical equipment to use? Well, you don't have too many options to pick from, as most equipment is banned. Here's what we recommend:

  • Lethal: Frag Grenade
  • Tactical: Stun Grenade

You could go for a Semtex Grenade, but the Frag gives you more distance on your grenade throws, which can be useful when breaking hills in Hardpoint.

We also can't forget about your Field Upgrade, but there's only one choice for you in Black Ops 7:

  • Field Upgrade: Trophy System

The Trophy System is currently the only Field Upgrade allowed in competitive play, but maybe Active Camo could make an appearance later on in Black Ops 7.

And that does it for your entire competitive Hardpoint loadout in Black Ops 7. It's possible some of this list could change as we move into the competitive season, but for now, this is what you should be using.
