Here’s a look at every multiplayer map coming to Black Ops 7.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to feature the most multiplayer maps we've seen at launch in several years. While Black Ops 6 and MWIII both launched with 16 multiplayer maps, Black Ops 7 is slated to have a total of 18 when it arrives on Nov. 14. While two of those maps are reserved for the larger 20v20 mode, Skirmish, they're still available in multiplayer.
In the recent multiplayer reveal blog for Black Ops 7, Activision gave us a detailed look at all 18 maps coming at launch. We now have descriptions for each, additional images, and details about the size of the maps. Below, we'll showcase all 18 of the maps, but if you want to see more details on the maps plus the rest of Black Ops 7 multiplayer, check out Activision's reveal blog post (linked above).
All Black Ops 7 Multiplayer maps at launch
While we have several angles of each map in Black Ops 7 multiplayer, we don't yet have Tac Maps for them. Activision decided to leave those out of the multiplayer reveal blog post, but we will see the Tac Maps for the beta maps at COD Next on Sept. 30. As for the maps that won't be included in the beta, we'll have to wait and see when those Tac Maps will be revealed.
Below, you can find all 18 multiplayer maps along with their size descriptions, dedicated mode, and some images of them.

How do the Black Ops 7 Multiplayer maps look?
Now that you've seen every multiplayer map coming to Black Ops 7 at launch, how about we discuss some first impressions?
One of the initial things that stood out to me about the maps is how many "medium-sized" maps there are. As it stands right now, there are only four "small-sized" maps and just one "large-sized" map in core 6v6 multiplayer. There are also two "large-sized" maps in the Skirmish mode, but that's what the mode is designed for.

The rest of the maps are classified as "medium-sized," which has always been the sweet spot for a Call of Duty map. In Black Ops 6, we saw far too many small maps, which led to chaotic gameplay and general burnout amongst the player base. However, in a game like MWII, many of the maps were too large, resulting in a massive portion of the community to play Shipment and Shoothouse on repeat the entire year. While we have yet to see how the maps play, the fact that Treyarch is emphasizing medium-sized maps and three-lane design is just what a majority of the player base wanted to see.
The other aspect of the launch maps that leaps off the page right away is the colors and aesthetics. Black Ops 6 featured far too many bland-looking maps, and Treyarch has obviously made it a priority to correct that in Black Ops 7. Maps like Homestead, Den, Toshin, and even the Express remake all look extremely vibrant and varied in their designs. Even some of the more neutral maps, like Retrieval or Scar, still have areas with color that stand out immediately.
This is a great direction for Black Ops 7 to start in, as the post-launch maps should almost definitely follow suit with this design philosophy. Of course, if the maps don't play well, then the colors become much less intriguing.
Overall, it appears like Treyarch has taken community feedback to heart and designed some great multiplayer maps in Black Ops 7, at least on paper. We'll have to wait and see how the maps play when the multiplayer beta arrives in early October.
