How to get kills over 200 meters with snipers in Battlefield 6

One of the toughest challenges in Battlefield 6 will take a while to complete.

Battlefield 6 features some incredibly difficult challenges that have players questioning whether or not it's even worth the effort to unlock the content behind the challenges themselves. So far, perhaps the most notorious challenge in Battlefield 6 is to unlock the PSR sniper rifle, and it requires players to "get headshot kills over 200 meters with snipers." While that challenge might sound simple in theory, you need to get a whopping 150 kills over 200 meters.

150 headshots with a sniper rifle is difficult enough, but getting headshot kills over 200 meters? That's another animal entirely. Fortunately, you can check out the guide below to see the easiest ways to complete this monster challenge in Battlefield 6.

Getting headshot kills over 200 meters with snipers in Battlefield 6

The toughest part of this challenge is finding a map that actually allows for a kill over 200 meters. Several of the maps in Battlefield 6, like Iberian Offensive and Empire State, don't have visible lanes where a 200-meter kill is possible most of the time. So, in order to streamline this challenge, you'll only want to play on maps that allow for a kill of that distance.

We've been able to confirm that these maps allow for kills over 200 meters:

  • Operation Firestorm
  • Liberation Peak
  • Mirak Valley

While other maps may have kill spots that would support a 200-meter shot, the spots have to be easily accessible and populated with enemies. A map like Manhattan Bridge might have an obscure angle that reaches 200 meters, but you'll likely find it rare that an enemy stays still for long enough in that spot to successfully kill them.

So, we recommend sticking to the three maps we listed above if you want the best shot at getting kills over 200 meters.

Next, let's talk about actually getting the kills themselves. Naturally, you want to use the best sniper rifle at your disposal, which is likely the M2010 ESR, equip the Range Finder attachment, as well as other attachments that boost damage range and bullet velocity. With your sniper ready to go, try and find a spot on the three maps that doesn't make you too visible to enemies, but gives you a clear line of sight to a high-traffic area. You'll also want to, naturally, aim for the head while setting up for these kills.

On Operation Firestorm, you can climb up the large cylinders throughout the map and aim at various objective locations in Conquest. On Liberation Peak, sticking near the "E" flag and shooting at enemies down below the hill is likely your best bet. Finally, on Mirak Valley, getting on top of one of the central rooftops and aiming in any direction where enemies come from should yield a decent number of kill chances.

Using Portal Mode to "cheese" the kills over 200 meters

With all of that out of the way, now let's get into the Portal Mode method. Like with so many other challenges in Battlefield 6, you can have a much easier time completing this challenge if you use a custom server in Portal Mode. This involves going to the "Community" tab in the game mode section and browsing "Official Rules" servers.

By doing this, you can play against bots but still have all of your challenge progress and XP track in Battlefield 6. From there, you can find a hosted match on the map you want, load in, and start killing bots from over 200 meters away with a sniper rifle. It's a cheesy way to complete the challenge, but totally legal by the in-game standards set by the developers.
