Another treasure that’s somewhere in Shatterscarp
The Robe of the Arcane Cheater is a treasure map you can follow when you reach the Shatterscarp region in Avowed. The treasure map depicts a small cave above a waterfall in between two large cliffs, and it's your job to figure out exactly where that is across the entirety of Shatterscarp.
You can purchase the Robe of the Arcane Cheater treasure map from The Thrifty Pig bar in Thirdborn for 1,680 gold. After that, you'll see the treasure map added to your quest journal, and from there, you can start to look for the treasure. Robe of the Arcane Cheater Treasure location in Avowed
Fortunately, you don't have to navigate a tough maze or crawl through some random cave to find this particular treasure. All you have to do is make your way to the Ancient Lakebed area in Shatterscarp, which is located to the northwest of Thirdborn and directly to the east of Eagle's Reach. In the Ancient Lakebed, you need to find a very specific pond that's below a large coral formation. You can see exactly where you need to go in the map screenshot below:
At this location, find the coral formation and then turn to the left to walk up the side of the cliff. Go right above the coral and then drop down, but don't drop all the way to the pond. Instead, drop on top of the coral and then turn around to find a small cave. Head inside the cave to find the Robe of the Arcane Cheater treasure in Avowed.
The treasure chest contains a variety of rewards, but the headline item is the Robes of Surpassing Brilliance unique light armor piece. This is of Superb Quality and features great stats for your current point in Avowed. The chest also has some gold and crafting materials that you can use to potentially upgrade the Robes of Surpassing Brilliance.
After you loot the chest, the Robe of the Arcane Cheater Treasure Map quest is complete in Avowed. You can now move on to some of the other content in the Shatterscarp region.
