Emerald Stair holds plenty of secrets in Avowed, including different treasure maps you can find and follow. One of the treasure maps available in the region is called Practical Pockets, and it rewards you with one of the best early-game pieces of armor in Avowed. You can acquire the Practical Pockets treasure map from The Gifted Magpie vendor in Fior mes Iverno for 600 gold.
Naturally, the Practical Pockets treasure map isn't something you'll be able to follow easily, as the image it depicts is extremely vague, especially in Emerald Stair. However, if you follow our guide below, you'll be able to snag the Practical Pockets treasure for yourself in Avowed with no issues.

Practical Pockets Treasure location in Avowed
Fortunately, Practical Pockets isn't located too far from Fior mes Iverno and it has a fast travel beacon right by its location. To start, you want to fast travel to the Ranger Headquarters fast travel beacon. If you don't have that beacon unlocked, you can make your way to the Ranger HQ by heading out of Fior mes Iverno and traveling east. Ranger HQ is located southeast of the Rolling Crags for further reference.
From the fast travel beacon at Ranger HQ, you want to head northeast towards a small pond on your map. As you travel northeast, you'll see a small group of glowing mushrooms growing on the side of a mountain. These glowing mushrooms are located to the right of a larger group, and you want to head directly in the middle of those mushroom patches.
In the middle of the mushroom patches, you'll find a small crevice that you can jump down into. The crevice has a chest that contains the Practical Pockets treasure.
Inside the chest, you can loot the Hjilde's Handy Hide unique light armor, which is one of the best armor pieces for rangers and wizards during the mid-game of Avowed. Once you loot the treasure, the Practical Pockets treasure map quest is over and you can move on to other quests and hunts in Avowed.
