How to find the My Loyal Shield Treasure in Avowed

The Galawain's Tusks region in Avowed is the final map you get to explore, but that doesn't mean there is plenty of content to dive into. As always, Galawain's Tusks features some treasure maps you can find and follow to earn some sweet, unique rewards. One of the treasure maps available in the region is called "My Loyal Shield," and it earns you an incredible unique shield in Avowed.

Of course, as with all treasure maps in the Living Lands, you won't just stumble upon the My Loyal Shield treasure. In fact, this particular treasure is so well hidden that you're almost definitely going to need our guide below.

First and foremost, you need to acquire the treasure map that leads to the My Loyal Shield treasure. Fortunately, the treasure map is much easier to find than the treasure itself. All you need to do is visit the Solace Keep city in Galawain's Tusks, which is located near the top of the map.

From there, head inside Solace Keep and take the lift up to the main level. Go past the mess hall and turn right to find a merchant named the Warden Quartermaster.

Choose to see the merchant's wares and you'll be able to buy the My Loyal Shield Treasure Map for 5,220 gold. You can now track the treasure map quest from your journal in Avowed.

With the treasure map in hand, let's find the treasure. As seen in the treasure map image, you're looking for a rock formation that has a crumbling tower on the top of it. You need to enter the base of the rock formation and climb up to the tower to find the treasure.

This image depicts a location in the western part of Galawain's Tusks. Specifically, head west of Twinedwood and south of the Outcast Tower Camp. Look at where my blue arrow is on the map screenshot below to see exactly where to go:

At this spot on the map, find a narrow crevice in the rock formation with the tower on top of it. Climb up the rocks until you reach the top of the tower, which has a blue light shining down from the ceiling. Look at the desk in the center of the room and find a small switch that's hiding behind a vase. Press the switch and a secret room will open up.

This secret room reveals a chest that contains the My Loyal Shield treasure. The treasure is the Time's Tarnish unique shield, which is of legendary quality. This is arguably the best shield in Avowed when it's fully upgraded, so it's certainly worth using with a one-handed weapon.
