Can you play the new survival shooter with your subscription?
It's difficult to follow up a month like February for video games, but March is certainly going to try. One of the most intriguing releases happening in March is Atomfall, a survival and open-world RPG that many fans have called "Fallout in England." While Atomfall is certainly its own game, it does share many characteristics with other popular titles that follow a similar formula. Naturally, this has still piqued the interest of many fans, and some are wondering if Atomfall is planned to arrive on Xbox Game Pass.
Game Pass subscribers often need to know whether an upcoming title is coming to the service on Day 1 so they know if they have to buy the game or not. In the guide below, you can see the current plans for Atomfall and if it's a Day 1 Game Pass title.

Game Pass in 2025 has been hit-or-miss so far. While plenty of great titles have come to the subscription service on the first day and been a smash hit, subscribers have also missed out on some great games. Of note, fans have wondered about MLB The Show 25 coming to Game Pass as well as the upcoming co-op adventure Split Fiction.
Fortunately, you don't have to worry about anything with Atomfall. The developers at Rebellion Developments and Microsoft have confirmed that Atomfall is going to be a Day 1 Game Pass title when it launches on March 27. Subscribers can access the game on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Game Pass app.
While Atomfall doesn't cost the traditional $60 to $70 since it starts at $50, having it available on Game Pass is still a huge bonus for many players. This should help boost the player numbers for Atomfall and it also being available on last-generation consoles means it's getting into the hands of as many gamers as possible. The only exception is Atomfall isn't coming to Nintendo Switch on Day 1, but you can play it on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via both Steam and Epic Games as well as Game Pass.
The preload for Atomfall should go live a few days before March 27, so if you're a Game Pass subscriber, keep a lookout for that news in the app or by checking in with Atomfall's socials.
