Disarm any trap you find in the Zone
Early on in Atomfall, you'll discover that the outlaws in the various regions of the game are fairly adept at laying traps in doorways or other areas. These traps can lead to severe harm, as some of them set off nail bombs or molotov cocktails right where the trap was set. Fortunately, there is something you can do about the traps in Atomfall, and it's unlocking the Disarm Traps skill.
While this skill does solve all of your problems, it doesn't come to you for free. You need to unlock this skill using specific points and only after you've acquired a certain skill manual in Atomfall. To see more about the Disarm Traps skill in Atomfall, check out the guide below.

Unlocking the Disarm Traps skill in Atomfall

First and foremost, if you open your skills menu in Atomfall, which is accessed from the inventory screen, you can view the Disarm Traps skill from the "Survival" section. It's the bottom-left skill in this section and during the early game, it will be greyed out.
This is because certain skills in Atomfall aren't unlocked by default and instead you need to find a specific Training Manual to be able to unlock the skills. Training Manuals can be looted out in the world or purchased from traders in various towns and areas throughout the maps in Atomfall.
For the Disarm Traps skill, you need to loot the first Survival Training Manual. There are several of these that can be looted in Atomfall, and you can find one in the Wyndham Village map. However, there are plenty others to find, so just explore the maps and eventually you'll come across the Training Manual you need.

When you loot the Survival Training Manual, head back into your skills menu and you should see the Disarm Traps skill can now be acquired.

Skills in Atomfall are acquired via points that you get from looting Training Stimulants. These are plentiful across the maps in the game and you can find them just like any other lootable item. The Disarm Traps Skill costs three Training Stimulant points, so if you have enough, purchase the skill, and you'll be able to disarm any trap you come across in Atomfall.
Disarming traps is as easy as coming up to the trap, interacting with it when you're close enough, and then grabbing the string the trap used.
