Your inventory is quite small in Atomfall, but can you boost its capacity?

Atomfall is a survival game at its core, forcing you to make difficult decisions and constantly monitor your health and heart rate to ensure you stay in tip-top shape. As a part of the game's survival elements, you also have to manage an inventory full of weapons, healing supplies, and other loot. By default, your inventory only has a set amount of 12 slots, and that's not a whole lot. Eventually, you're going to want more inventory slots in Atomfall so you can carry all the new loot you're discovering.

However, there's seemingly no way to increase the size of your inventory, regardless of what you try and do. So, you've likely wondered what the method is to boost your inventory capacity or if there even is one. In the guide below, you can find the answer to all of your inventory-related questions.

Can you increase your inventory size in Atomfall?

Unfortunately, there is no way to increase the overall number of slots you have in your inventory in Atomfall. The game takes the term "survival" to a literal sense, and makes it so you always have to make tough choices regarding what loot you carry. I've beaten the game several different times by this point, and in no playthrough has there been a way to increase capacity presented to me.

You might think that there's a skill that could make it so you gain a few extra inventory slots. There are plenty of skills for other survival aspects in Atomfall, so why wouldn't there be one for boosting the size of your inventory? Well, that's a great question, and one that I certainly had during my playthroughs. However, even if you unlock all of the Training Manuals for every skill tree in Atomfall, none of them offer a way to boost your inventory size, not even by one slot.

So, you're stuck with your 12 inventory slots plus the four weapon slots and three tool slots for the entirety of Atomfall. When you get to the late game, you'll have to make some costly decisions when it comes to selecting what loot to keep and what to throw out.

My advice? I suggest keeping as many healing items as possible. This includes bandages, food, first aid kits, tea, etc. Grenades aren't worth keeping until you need them, and the same goes for any resistance drinks. Craft grenades and resistance drinks only when you need them. Don't carry them around hoping you'll eventually use them. You also want to carry a pistol and a small melee weapon, as those are great to have for sticky situations.

As for your weapon slots, I recommend selecting a single-shot rifle, shotgun, bow, and either an SMG or fully-automatic rifle. This ensures you always have a weapon with different ammo in case you run out of ammo for one specific weapon.
