Apex Legends Olympus map rework

In terms of what to expect in the new season, the Olympus map has some new points of interests (POIs). These include Dockyard, Gravity Engine, Somers University, and Stabilizer. According to Electronic Arts, this Olympus revamp reduces open spaces and reworks areas like Orbital Cannon and Energy Depot for smoother competitive gameplay.

That is, Somers University replaces Orbital Cannon, Gravity Engine replaces Energy Depot, Stabilizer replaces Docks, and Dockyard gets a major upgrade to encourage vertical gameplay. Below are previews of each Olympus POI in Apex Legends Season 27.

Apex Legends Season 27 patch notes

As for other Apex Legends Season 27 patch notes, they go to Valkyrie, Rampart and Horizon. Valkyrie, for one, gets a revamped jetpack. This lets her get into the air quicker and move faster. Meanwhile, Rampart gets roofed walls and Horizon's new upgrades let her either float off her lift or slam down.

Next, the Double Tap Alternator Hop-Up turns the SMG into a close-range beast by allowing players to fire both barrels at once. The new Mantle Boost tool, meanwhile, adds a burst of movement so players can climb faster.

Ranked mode becomes fairer in Apex Legends Season 27 as well, with more consistency in loot quality loot across POIs. Variances still exist, but they aren't that extreme. As for Tridents, they have better handling and boost control, the ability to glide and jump over terrain, plus low ramming damage.

Finally, players can tackle Amped Launch Challenges to unlock Amped Seasonal Packs, test out a new wishlist feature, and try for the mythic Bird of Prey R-99 skin. Creating a wishlist with five legends and two weapon classes can help target one's favorites, according to Electronic Arts.

All of the patch note details arrive on Nov. 3.
