WePlay Esports Invitational (Rocket League): Teams, Prize pool and Talent

The WePlay Esports Invitational is a $100,000 Rocket League tournament with the best teams from across the world.

WePlay announced its entry into Rocket League esports with the WePlay Esports Invitational. WePlay will partner with Psyonix for the $100,000 event.

“We have no intention to stop developing: we continue to explore and discover new titles and areas of work. Rocket League has made waves among the esports community. I am sure that the WePlay Esports Invitational Featuring Rocket League will pleasantly surprise the fans of the game with what our team has in store for the event.

WePlay has organized tournaments in multiple titles including Dota 2, CSGO . The foray into Rocket League esports has been met with a lot of excitement and anticipation. 

When does WePlay Esports Invitational take place?

WePlay Esports Invitational kicks off on September 16. It will continue for four days crowning the winner of the 19th. The English broadcast will be live from the WePlay Esports Arena Kyiv.

Participating teams and Format

“We’ve organized many memorable major events so far at WePlay Esports, and we finally have a chance to do another in Rocket League. It is a unique title with a special and passionate community behind it, and we cannot wait to show what we are capable of,” comments Anton Tokarev, lead esports manager at WePlay Esports.

There are 16 teams that are participating in the WePlay Esports Invitational. This list comprises teams from Europe, Middle East, Africa as well as North America. The tournament is spread across two regions: EMEA and North America.

Teams play each other in the double-elimination bracket where all matches are best-of-seven series.
