Top 5 Plays from PGL Stockholm Legends Day 2

The two finalists from the IEM Cologne became the first teams to lock themselves into the playoffs. Take a look at our top 5 plays from the second day of the legends stage.

Day 2 of PGL Stockholm gave us some amazing games, both close and blowouts. On the one hand, EG and ENCE got eliminated while on the other, G2 and NaVi booked their slots at the Avicii Arena. Here are the Top 5 plays from PGL Stockholm Legends Day 2.

NiKo shuts Entropiq down

In the first 2-0 Match, G2 faced against CIS surprise team Entropiq. Getting a map pool of Mirage and Dust2 made life easier for G2 and with François 'AmaNEk' Delaunay joining Nikola 'NiKo' Kovač at the top of the scoreboard, they cruised their way to an easy 2-0. NiKo however still had an amazing clip, where he put up an insane Ace on Mirage to secure G2's fourth.

Cerq's 1v4 clutch

Coming into the major, I had predicted that EG would go 0-3 in the Legends Stage. Surprisingly though, they managed to still win one map in their game against Vitality. This win came off the back of strong fragging levels from Vincent 'Brehze' Cayonte, Owen 'oBo' Schlatter, Michał 'MICHU' Müller, and crucially Tsvetelin 'CeRq' Dimitrov. The Bulgarian AWPer had a strong day, and his 1v4 clutch to win EG's third round was one of the best things to come out of EG in this Major.

Shox answers back with an ACE

In the very next round, however, Richard 'shox' Papillon pulled off stylish ACE on the AWP. With 2 collateral kills and a couple of ultra-fast re-peeks, this play showed that Shoxie's still got it.

B1t Closes Both Maps out to reach the Avicii Arena

Valeriy 'B1T' Vakhovskiy is the rookie of the year, having won the Intel Grand Slam and an IEM Cologne. Not only is he playing at his first Major, he just doesn't seem fazed by the pressure of the event. He is on a roster with Aleksandr 's1mple' Kostyliev and Denis 'electronic' Sharipov and is still somehow the strongest performer on the team, leading his squad to a 3-0 qualification to the playoffs. In today's series against NIP, he was a key part of NaVi's performance and closed out both maps with triple kills.

First, on Nuke, he played his usual 1 and fall back style on Ramp. Then after a failed A site attack led NIP players back down to the B site, B1t took both attackers down and closed the map 16-9.

He continued his strong form on Overpass, ending the game with a 26-10 scoreline. The 18-year-old then once again showed that he doesn't care about the importance of the match, he'll do as he pleases. In the final round after getting two kills on the B site entry, he finished the game in style, by booking his spot in the Avicii arena with a knife kill.
