PGL releases Stockholm Major Community Broadcast Guidelines

With just days to go for the Stockholm Major, PGL has released the community broadcast guidelines for the CS: GO Major.

The PGL Stockholm Major is the first CS:GO Major in nearly two years. The excitement is at an all-time high for the Major that will also have a live audience at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm. Ahead of the CS:GO Major, PGL has released its guidelines for community broadcast and aims to clarify its stance on third-party channels broadcasting the event.

Community content creators can now register with PGL to stream the Stockholm Major matches. These streams should strictly be non-commercial and should be streaming from the Steam gameplay channel (“GOTV”). Community broadcasts can be a valuable addition to a tournament organizer’s outreach as it significantly boosts viewership numbers. Broadcasters can use these viewership numbers to secure better sponsorships and investments.

“Third-party channels” are public or private channels that comply with PGL’s guidelines and processes and in which the content creator may post in a non-commercial manner.
