Deadlock Collegiate Series details

College Deadlock is a small group that just recently announced its inception following the release of the Valve hero shooter MOBA, Deadlock, was released. The group has plans to run an 8-week collegiate Deadlock circuit, with a $5,000 prize pool, playoffs, and unannounced broadcast talent running their streams.

Their first season will be Season 0 and is set to kickoff in Spring of 2025, with registration closing on January 17, 2025.

However, before that, the group is putting on a small showmatch between some of the participating schools, which will take place on November 2nd at 6 pm EST. This will be streamed on the College Deadlock Twitch channel.

The group putting together College Deadlock recently hosted a town hall in their Discord server, discussing regions, eligibility, and more. This already shows a commitment to the community and a positive grassroots energy for the fledgling program. Several of the top collegiate esports programs are already in the server, including the following:

  • UC Irvine
  • Northwood
  • University of Oklahoma
  • Oklahoma Christian
  • Purdue University
  • Kansas State University

If you are a college program interested in joining, you can join the College Deadlock Discord server, and you can stay up to date with them on social media. Otherwise, stay tuned for the latest on Deadlock esports, here at esports.gg.
