College Deadlock is finally here thanks to the new Deadlock Collegiate Series.
College Deadlock is an upstart group that has just announced an upcoming collegiate Deadlock esports tournament, with a show match to kick things off coming very soon. This new series, called the Deadlock Collegiate Series (DCS), is set to kick off in the Spring of 2025 with a full season and prize pool. Deadlock Collegiate Series details
College Deadlock is a small group that just recently announced its inception following the release of the Valve hero shooter MOBA, Deadlock, was released. The group has plans to run an 8-week collegiate Deadlock circuit, with a $5,000 prize pool, playoffs, and unannounced broadcast talent running their streams.
Their first season will be Season 0 and is set to kickoff in Spring of 2025, with registration closing on January 17, 2025.
However, before that, the group is putting on a small showmatch between some of the participating schools, which will take place on November 2nd at 6 pm EST. This will be streamed on the College Deadlock Twitch channel.
The group putting together College Deadlock recently hosted a town hall in their Discord server, discussing regions, eligibility, and more. This already shows a commitment to the community and a positive grassroots energy for the fledgling program. Several of the top collegiate esports programs are already in the server, including the following:

- Northwood
- University of Oklahoma
- Oklahoma Christian
- Purdue University
- Kansas State University
- Oklahoma City University
- Arizona State University
