Esports.gg is partnering with non-profit Cure Rare Disease to help raise awareness and rally support for those living with rare diseases.

Esports.gg is proud to announce a new partnership with Cure Rare Disease (CRD). CRD is a non-profit that works to create individualized therapeutics to treat people impacted by rare diseases.

"We’re thrilled to be partnering with Esports.gg, whose audience and network will enable us to raise awareness and rally more support for those living with rare diseases that have no treatments or cures," said Richard Horgan, Founder and President of Cure Rare Disease.

"Our involvement in the esports space stems from our own patients looking to esports for a supportive community and the opportunity to compete with their peers on an equal playing field.”

High profile streamers to have supported Cure Rare Disease through charity streams include Minecraft superstar CaptainPuffy, Smash Bros legend and Team Liquid member Hungrybox, as well as prolific content creator moistcr1tikal.

CRD also hosts events and fundraisers to raise awareness such as the upcoming Rare Rave 2022 from February 25th to 28th, which Esports.gg will help to promote.

"Cure Rare Disease is looking to rally and reach the esports community to get involved in their events and fundraisers, and we're honoured they've chosen us to help spread the word. There's no time like the present to make a difference," said Lawrence "Malystryx" Phillips, Esports.gg's Director of Content.

"Throughout 2022 we will be helping raise awareness of the brilliant work CRD is doing in the esports space, while also shining a light on the streamers and content creators who are fighting for the cause. "

If you would like to make a donation to Cure Rare Disease to fund research and advance our discoveries towards cures you can do so on their website. Alternatively you can join their Strive for Five program which is aiming to raise $5 million, $5 at a time.
