Chikurin wins TEKKEN 8 event at Evo Japan 2024
After battling it out in the grand final against LowHigh from DRX, chikurin claimed victory at Evo Japan 2024's TEKKEN 8 event. Chikurin swept his opponent 3-0, concluding the match in style with Lili!
The player then celebrated his win on social media, thanking his supporters, praising the game, and noting how it's been a while since he last won an international tournament.

After defeating Chanel 2-0 in the semifinals, chikurin bested LowHigh 3-1 in the upper-bracket finals. This pushed LowHigh into the lower bracket, but the player climbed back up for a revenge match in the grand finals. It was to no avail, however, as chikurin performed a clean 3-0 sweep to win the TEKKEN 8 tournament at Evo Japan 2024.

Chikurin qualifies for Esports World Cup 2024
In addition to winning the bulk of the 2 million yen prize pool, chikurin earned 800 points plus an Esports World Cup 2024 qualification. Players LowHigh, CHANEL, and Mangja also qualified for the event. The Esports World Cup will take place this summer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
